3 Principles Of Human Movement
Breathing must be optimized
Achieve optimal joint movement
Integrate 1 & 2 into fundamental movement patterns
To reach our movement and training potential, these three principles cannot be ignored.
We get ourselves into trouble when we start to add load to dysfunctional movement patterns. Or when we hold our breath or breathe backwards during our lifts.
Awareness of breathing during all exercises is paramount. Proper breathing stabilizes the spine on the pelvis so we can be strong.
Then we must ensure the joints are centrated properly so our bodies can move optimally. This allows us to develop efficient movement without placing excessive stress on the joints and muscles.
Next we utilize that optimal breathing and movement by integrating into variations of squats, hinges, pushes, pulls, single leg drills and loaded carries. Once these patterns are performed with excellence, we can begin to add load. 😎
Always remember, motion is lotion. We encourage you to Move Well, Live Well™.
