Challenge Your Core


Really want to challenge your core? Instead of doing crunches or sit ups, try the dead bug!

The dead bug strengthens your core AND improves endurance of your core muscles to stabilize the spine in a neutral position. This will be especially helpful since it can transfer over into your workouts and every day life.

Now it’s not as easy as it looks. Most people simply go through the motions and tell us it’s too easy. But, when done properly, the dead bug can be a very challenging exercise and you will become aware of your core in a whole new way. It’s a game changer!

Once you’ve mastered the basics, here is a progression that will light your abs on fire 🔥

  1. Hold the end position for 8 FULL SECONDS as you exhale fully on each rep.

  2. Do 3-4 sets of up to 16 reps alternating and with excellent technique.

Keep your spine from hyperextending and your ribs from flaring. Remember, keeping a neutral spine is the most important part!
